1. Controller

Address and register data match the legal notice. Nexus City / Nexus Studios is the brand of this business unit, not a second company with its own address.

2. Hosting and log files

When you load a page we process technical data (IP address, time, URL, browser). Purpose: operations, security, debugging. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Server logs are usually kept up to 14 days, longer only if needed to investigate abuse.

3. Website account

On sign-up: username, email, password (hashed), optional creator code, later Minecraft name and UUID (Java or Bedrock kept separate). Purpose: login, dashboard, shop, sync. Legal basis: contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and the consent on the form. Retention: while the account exists, then deletion or anonymisation within 30 days unless legal retention (e.g. payments) applies.

4. Instagram Cup

If you enter the Instagram Cup: Minecraft name, Instagram handle, post link, optional Discord. Purpose: contest and weekly prize payout. Legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Retention: usually 90 days after that week ends, then deletion, longer only if needed to follow up an incident.

5. Team applications

Name, age, Discord, Minecraft name (Java or Bedrock), hours per week, motivation and role-specific details (e.g. mod experience, portfolio, plugin skills). Purpose: team hiring. Legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and pre-contractual steps, Art. 6(1)(b). Retention: usually 6 months after the process ends, then deletion, unless you join the team (account/staff processes then apply).

6. Live chat, tickets, support

Name, message text, optional email for the transcript. Purpose: support. Legal basis: consent and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(a) and (f)). Retention: usually 90 days after the chat ends, longer only if needed to follow up an incident. Discord tickets on our server are also subject to Discord’s terms.

7. Creator code

If you save a creator code, we attach it to your website account for shop purchases. Legal basis: contract and consent. Retention: until you remove the code or delete the account.

8. Payments (Stripe)

Payment data is sent directly to Stripe. Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Order data is kept for commercial and tax duties (usually 8 or 10 years). stripe.com/privacy

9. Turnstile (Cloudflare)

Bot protection may send technical data to Cloudflare. Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

10. Cookies

Session cookies for login and optional creator code (14 days). Strictly necessary, no tracking banner.

11. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interests, withdrawal of consent with effect for the future. Contact: support@nexus-city.net. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For the controller in Hungary that is the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH). In Germany you can contact the authority of your place of residence.
